Queen Wants Adam Lambert As Front Man?
"American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert's performance with rock band Queen on the finale of the TV singing contest this week has the British band thinking about a new front man.
"Amongst all that furor, there wasn't really a quiet moment to talk," Queen guitarist Brian May told Rolling Stone in an interview released on Friday.
"But and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with at some point. It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that easy. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there," May told the magazine in an e-mail exchange.

Anti Gay Marriage Can't Find Support In New York
Assemblyman Dov Hikind of Brooklyn was feeling distressed.
The State Assembly had just voted to legalize same sex marriage, after gay rights groups flooded the Legislature with visits, phone calls and e-mail messages. Where, he wanted to know, was the other side?
“Wake up! Where are you?” Mr. Hikind, an outspoken opponent of gay marriage, said in an interview. “It’s the bottom of the ninth, two outs, and you’re losing — big time.”
As the Legislature considers whether to make New York the next state to legalize same-sex marriage, social conservatives have been largely missing from the debate in Albany.

Aussie Chicken Hawk Kills Chicken
Australian Chicken tycoon Gerardus Gerrit Heijne strangled his gay lover in the kitchen of their Perth penthouse because he stood in the way of a new life with a much younger male lover.
Opening the state's case in the West Australian Supreme Court yesterday, prosecutor Bruno Fiannaca said Mr Heijne strangled Frank Cianciosi, his partner of 25 years, and then placed the body under the covers of his bed.
He then set the airconditioner of their multi-million-dollar riverside penthouse in East Perth to 16C to preserve the body, Mr Fiannaca told a jury. He said Mr Heijne, now 45, later went to the house of his young lover, whose name has been suppressed, lay on his bed and told him, "I have killed Frank", before demonstrating how he had strangled him.

Florida's Gay Governor Charlie Crist To Run For Senate
It’s official. This morning, closet case, Florida Governor Charlie Crist announced that he is running to succeed Mel Meatinez for the US Senate. The “Obama Republican”, who was one of only a scant handful of Republicans to support Obama’s bailout legislation, quickly emerges as the front-runner in a race that serves as a battleground for what the Republican is to stand for on a national level. Crist was a central subject of the new Outrage documentary about closeted gay politicians. (This shoud be fun!)

Catholic Archbishop Rembert Weakland - I'm Gay
A Roman Catholic archbishop who resigned in 2002 over a sex and financial scandal involving a man has written a memoir that describes how he struggled with being gay.
Archbishop Rembert Weakland, former head of the Milwaukee archdiocese, "is up front about his homosexuality in a church that preferred to ignore gays," Publisher's Weekly wrote in a review Monday. (And now he is writing a book about how to get boys? I guess he has to make some money to pay for the rent boys?)

Drag Queens Can Now Do Plastic Surgery Online
The website, My-Queen.com, was launched last week by celebrity DJ Jodie Harsh.
Users can dress their characters, take part in fashion competitions and visit virtual bars.
They can also give their characters plastic surgery (Can you recommend it to another drag queen on line? Now that we would pay to see).
A parents' group has attacked the creators of an online drag queen community, saying it may encourage children to "see gay sex as normal".
There is no age limit on the site, although users must be over 18 to join the dating forums.
Careful, mom always said don't fu*k with a drag queen or a bull dyke, either one will cut ya!

Levi Strauss Starts New Campaign for Gay Youth
Levi Strauss has a new campaign is to help the Hetrick-Martin Institute raise $500,000 for their Liquidity Reserve Fund, which will establish a financial safety net to fund important work within the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender community.

National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's report "An Epidemic of Homelessness", states that a staggering 42% of homeless youth nationwide identify as GLBT. Unfortunately, little is being done on the state or federal level to address the issue. Some gay assistance organizations have stepped up to provide shelters for GLBT homeless youth. 1-800-runaway

CEO of Wal-Mart Name on Anti-Gay Petition
A signature of Mike Duke CEO of Wal-Mart, Inc of 16 Pinnacle Drive, Rogers, Arkansas 72758 was verified and counted for the advancement and ultimate success of the anti-gay legislation in Arkansas. The name, Susan Duke also at 16 Pinnacle Drive appears on this anti-gay petition. Susan Duke is the wife of Mike Duke and sits on the Board of the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter.
This from a company that states they have an environment of "diversity" in their stores.
Mike Duke of the same address, 16 Pinnacle Drive, Rogers, AR and listed as "Wal-Mart Management" made a $ 2300 campaign contribution to Mike Huckabee in 2008.
A call to a Representative of Wal-Mart would not confirm or deny the signature was valid.
