Texas City Council Canidate Uses Gay Slur

Michael Aldous, a city council candidate in Santa Fe, Texas, has admitted to shouting anti-gay slurs at supporters of a gay candidate at a polling place last week, according to The Galveston County Daily News.
Aldous said he made the remarks out of frustration because he felt he was being harrassed. Aldous’ father, Warren, is running against the gay candidate, Tom Dendy. Michael Aldous reportedly shouted, “Vote for Aldous; I am not a homo.” A supporter of Dendy who witnessed the incident said Aldous also “kept on making comments that gays have no place in the world (and) that they are sick people.”
The story goes on to say that Aldous and his father were prompted to run for city council after they were both arrested in 2008. Michael Aldous reportedly was charged with driving while intoxicated about a month before his father was arrested for a tussle with police.
Fu*kin’ rednecks! Color us surprised!
